Had to take Eliza to the doctor tonight, suspected an ear infection and just to be on the safe side wanted to be certain about it. She did have a small ear infection in her left ear but nothing serious. Just a cold overall. That my little chunky monkey now weighs 14 lbs. 13 oz.! She is growing so fast!
Because my memory is wretched, and because these moments are too precious to forget. A safe place for me to record exciting times, my personal thoughts about life and what God is teaching me!

Anna Claire has all of a sudden (like in the last three weeks) become an AVID bibliophile! She is in love with Dr. Seuss specifically, although she is enjoying the Little Critter books and Berenstain Bears some too. She likes to hunt for the spider on each page. :-)
Daddy is her favorite reader!

Went to Juliana's first birthday party today. It was for Amelia Brookins and they had it at the local gymnastics center. So cute to watch all the little ones play on the equipment! Will have to file that party idea away for possible later use. ;-)
She was a little timid--wanted me to hold her or be on the equipment with her, but she really enjoyed it all in all!
She came home and started talking up a storm! Repeating everything we could throw at her! She says, mama, dada, no, please ("peas" but very staccato), sissy, thank you, down, mine (ugh!!)....

Oh how each day differs from the next! Yesterday was perfect; the girls got along well, Anna Claire was thoughtful towards Juliana and everything was very smooth and pleasant. Today could not have been more different! Hard day!
On a happier note, Juliana cracks me up. Last night I had an Origami Owl party and she did NOT like all those people invading her space. She was grouchy the entire time until they started to leave and she would wave so sweetly and say "bye!" Then her mood completely changed back to her usual self!

Juliana told her daddy "I love you" for the first time tonight! Precious!
She's talking more and more--repeating most everything you say. It's amazing how fast she's learning!

Eliza had rice cereal for the first time today...she didn't really react to it but Juliana provided plenty of entertainment--
Junia came over and saw me with a bowl and spoon feeding Eliza and wanted some. I told her she didn't really want this and she nodded that she did. So I gave her a bite. Then she took it and immediately started spitting and sputtering and sticking her tongue out and blowing it everywhere. Then she even tried to wipe her tongue off with her hands! It was hilarious! It reminded me of the minions in Despicable Me 2 when they try the jelly that Dr. Nefario made. :-) Cracked me up!

Eliza is three months old today. Blows my mind. What a joy she is to us!
Still learning how to manage three children effectively. Got a long way to go. Reading Large Family Logistics and feeling half inspired/challenged and half overwhelmed/inadequate. Just not sure how flexible and spontaneous I want to be versus how scheduled and strict. We lean on a loose household currently and I enjoy that but we certainly lose efficiency with that model.... It's a balance and I haven't found it yet.
Eliza rolled front to back today! I was on the phone with my mom and thought it was a fluke but then she did it again! Go big girl!

Juliana weighed 24 lbs 4 oz at the doctor today and was 32 3/4 inches tall. My baby is growing! She didn't much appreciate being poked and prodded either! ;-) She is a strong willed little joker! :-) Love her!
She got her Pentacel vaccine today.

Little girl clothes are LITERALLY taking over my house! Whatever am I going to do when they are teenagers! :-)

Today Anna Claire escaped from the van and scared me to death! I put the girls in the van at church, drove around to the fellowship hall and went inside to pick up food really fast. I had strapped Juliana and Eliza in, but Anna Claire was supposed to have buckled herself in. Did not do so.
I go get food and come back out and Anna Claire has opened the door herself and ran off! Scared me to death--she could've gone to the street or anything! I wasn't scared of strangers since everyone had pretty well cleared out and I was only gone for a minute, tops, but still!!
She had only gone into the church but we were so relieved when came sauntering out of the church like "what's your problem, Mom?"
Life lesson learned....

All three girls are sick--Anna Claire the worst so we drove from Eufaula to Dothan today to get checked by the doctor. They think its just viral. My poor babies!
Eliza weighed 13 lbs 11 oz, Juliana weighed 23 lbs (dressed) and Anna Claire weighed 37 lbs (dressed). Growing girls!

Having a great vacation! Today we went a little past Columbus Georgia to visit the Wild Animal Safari park which we had heard was really cool from some friends. It was cool! On the pricey side but worth the cost for the experience!
The animals walk right up to your window and you can feed them (with food you purchase there of course). It's really a fun experience! I'm not into saliva on humans, much less animals so I opted to mostly tend Eliza and be the official photographer (as best you can from the back of a van).
Anna Claire loved EVERY MINUTE of it despite the fact that she was fighting a cold. The girl is fearless.
Juliana liked it a lot, but according to her regular fashion, she had to warm up to it some. Didn't take her long to get excited though! She even finally fed a couple of the big cows! One stuck his head in a bit closer than she liked and she firmly said, "no no no no!!" (Sounds like "nyo nyo nyo!") so cute! She knows her mind and what she likes/dislikes!
Oh and Carrie Smith (nee Plumlee) told us DO NOT use our own vehicle and boy, was she right! I would have had an aneurysm with all those horned animals hitting my car! The vans you rent are the biggest pieces of junk I have EVER RIDDEN IN though! No vent covers, broken windshield, doors permanently shut or barely will open, FILTHY, rust, no windows (for obvious reasons).....wow!

Day 1 spring vacation to Lake Eufaula 2014!
Took forever to leave! Partially because Eliza had an explosive diaper and required a bath, partially because Juliana demanded her first pedicure after seeing the polish in my drawer. Aren't these the cutest feet EVER!
Stopped for rice and beans - Anna Claire pestered Juliana (what else is new?!) :-) Then, back in the car, Juliana got silly! She has this thing where you tell her she has stinky feet and say "eww!" Or "yuck!" And kind of throw her foot aside and she will just cackle like crazy! Here she was doing it to herself while we were on our way...
Intended to go to Atlanta to the Zoo and Georgia Aquarium after dropping off food to the lake house but after seeing the water, the girls couldn't be dissuaded from getting in....
Girls played hard and Anna Claire never got a nap, so she passed out on the couch at bedtime!

Anna Claire makes people smile all the time--she tells people everywhere that "I love you! You come to my house?" Mary Ann Miller said that she absolutely made her day---enough that she offered her a second brownie at Wednesday night meal!
She also has told the waitress, Wendy, at Larry's and made her feel special. Enough so, that she mentioned it to us the next time we came again!
