Last night Anna Claire grabbed her apron I made her, put it in and said it was time to cook mac and cheese! So we did! Made my heart smile to see her want to wear her apron!

1-18-15: Eliza's 1st birthday party

Eliza's 1st birthday party was a success!  Several friends from church came over and we had a nice soup/sandwich party to celebrate our sweet girl! 

The cake was AMAZING, as usual - Cathy Massey is THE BEST.  I don't know what I will do if/when she ever stops doing cakes!

 Eliza wasn't really interested in the cake or blowing out candles - it was late enough that she was getting grouchy!  Anna Claire took the opportunity to "help" her blow out her candles.  :)

1-16-15

Today is my baby's last day before she is a year old. Mixed feelings about that. Mostly I am relieved to have survived the first year--it's been tough with juliana and eliza so close in age--sweet, but tough. I hate to mark the passage of time with my babies, because it's like a little grief over losing a bit of them--which is stupid, I know. Silly, emotional mama that loves her kids more than life. :-)

I love seeing eliza change and develop personality though! She driving us all insane right now with whining all the time. She absolutely HATES to be left when you walk by her or out of a room. She wants to be held all the time--not so much to be cuddled, which she does enjoy, but to be able to have access to grab stuff she normally can't reach!

She's a crazy good eater!

She's SEN-SI-TIVE and gets her feelings hurt very easily! If her sisters accidentally bump into her, she will give them a look and cry like they slapped her!

But she's such a sweet baby, and a real charmer! With a big precious smile and a contagious giggle--she draws attention everywhere we go! She gets a LOT of notice in public. :-) pretty baby! Love her so dearly and am so thankful for her!

Fun play date with the Kent's today!

Storytime at the library. Good experience but nobody was really into it. ;-) everyone wanted me for some reason! I love it!

Today was the day! Anna Claire was so ready just to her dance class! She got out of the car and told the lady at car line, "I go to dance today!" I'm so happy that she is happy. :-) I hope this is a wonderful experience for her. 

She did love it!

The ballet teacher asked Anna Claire if she could call her Anna since there was already another Claire--she replied nicely, "ummm....I'm ANNA-CLAIRE hunter...." So, in answer, no shortening her name!

Loved seeing Burkelee and visiting with her sweet mama. Also, another little girl from Anna Claire's class, Emma, was there also, so extra happy!

Anna Claire is so excited about starting ballet tomorrow! I am so excited that she qualifies for a scholarship--we just can't budget extracurriculars right now.

I had her try on her leotard, tights and shoes tonight and she got so excited! Then junia says to me, "I dance!" I couldn't resist her, so we pulled out some hand-me-down spares and got her dressed as well! Anna Claire had to "teach" her how to twirl and raise her arms and jump and point her toe....it was adorable!

I can't wait to see what she thinks of it tomorrow! I hope she loves it! It will be nice to see Burkelee Beck, one of her little friends from Playpals and her mom again also. Such a nice family!

The big girls took a shower together and they got out unexpectedly...came strolling into the living room covered in bubbles--dripping and sharing one towel across both of their backends! So cute! :-)

Fun day! We painted a box wrapped in lunch bags, went skating at the church in the gym with Anna Claire's new skates! She loves them! (They were actually a gift from Aunt Leslie two years ago but she just now is ready for them.) Fun, cheap entertainment!

Then Andy gave them rides around the church on the electric wheelchair! Juliana loved it and didn't want to take turns!!

Junia will say "whoa, Dude!" When something takes her off guard--like a slant up in the floor on the wheelchair or a bump on the road in the car! So cute!

Eliza got her bottom tooth, bottom next to her front teeth on the way home from Jacksonville. Made her miserable (and us Too!)

Still visiting in Jax.  Spent the day playing at Nani and Pawpaw's house then met up with Aunt Leslie, the cousins, and Nana Laurie.
