Four girls decorating the tree, one un-decorating it. Something tells me that will be the story of our lives this Christmas!

On Dukes Falls Trail, Eliza says I don't really like this. And he tells her well you need to learn to like it because your family likes to go on hikes. He continues to say would you rather be at home sitting on the couch playing your iPad? She says yeah. SMH

11-6-17

The girls and I were in the car today heading to town talking about how Baby Bella is starting to say a couple of simple words - Ma-ma, Da-Da, Ni-Ni (for night-night) and the girls are loving hearing her start to do this.  Then they started asking what she would call them when she learned to talk better.  Anna Claire said she would probably be "Care", I said that Eliza would probably end up "Wiza or Iza" and Juliana would be "JuJu.  Juliana agreed, but said that she might call her "Juna".....then she thought a bit more and so matter of factly said, "Or she might call me Fred."

LOL!

Where do they get this stuff????

11-7-17

Eliza and I were watching Disney Channel together the other day.  She is so affected by commercials - much more so than my other girls have been.  EVERYTHING that is advertised, she wants.  Without fail.  They could advertise a kitchen mop, and she would say, "Dat cool, Mama.  You need to buy me dat."  or "I don't have one of those! You need to buy me on of those!"  Or "Look, Mama!  Awww, I don't have dat!!"  I mean, over and over and over and over, ad nauseum......::rolls eyes::

So, after ten minutes of constant begging and annoyance, I sternly told her that if she couldn't be content and stop begging that I was going to turn the television OFF.  The next show came on and here comes the first set of commercials - about some new baby doll.  Before she could stop herself here she goes:  "OH MAMA LOOK!!  I NEED one of dem!!!  You need to buy me dat!!"  So I turned my head and raised my eyebrows without saying anything......she didn't miss a beat and responded sweetly, "Just ONE!!!!"

Oh, Eliza.  You are too cute for your own good, Girl!

11-12-17

Always something new and cute to report.  Not saying that life with four littles doesn't present challenges, because it certainly does, but I'd rather let time erase those particular memories for the most part and focus on the sweet and special moments that are ever-present as well!

Thursday night the girls got to walk in their first parade ever!  They walked in the Enterprise Veterans' Day Parade with their Frontier Girls troop and were SO EXCITED!  I think Juliana especially was the MOST PUMPED!  They were ready to leave the house by 3:30 even though the parade didn't start until 6.   They enjoyed the experience, I believe, and were all smiles when I picked them up at the end of the parade route, but Eliza made sure I knew that her "wegs got tired."  She's such a pampered little princess!  I think she ultimately turned on the charm and got one of the mommas that walked in the parade to carry her the last little bit.

After the parade we went to a little local joint in Enterprise called Fatboys - a burger/wings kind of place.  They had coloring books and board games available, and Andy and I played checkers, which I hate because I TOTALLY STINK AT IT.  I couldn't see a play coming if it had neon lights pulsating on the board.  Ugh!  Andy ordered fried pickles with his dinner (YUCK!), and Anna Claire absolutely LOVED THEM.  She said, "We have to come here again!!!  This is even better than MCDONALDS!!" (As though that's the height of culinary delight.....which I suppose for her it is! LOL!)

April wilson stopped andy last night and told him how much growth she has seen in Juliana recently--she says that she really sees God working in her little heart. She told him also that she thinks she has a really pretty voice and noticed how she loves to sing---she gave her a part in a trio for their Christmas program. ❤️
